Ahead of a four-day state visit to Malaysia, President Tharman reflected on the long-standing bilateral ties that have thrived on mutual respect and understanding for over sixty years.
In his remarks, President Tharman emphasized that both nations have consistently opted for dialogue and adherence to international law when addressing sensitive issues, rather than allowing disagreements to disrupt their broader cooperative efforts. This approach, he noted, has been instrumental in maintaining a stable and productive relationship between the two Southeast Asian neighbors.
President Tharman pointed to the expanding collaboration between Singapore and Malaysia in several vital areas, including economic integration and renewable energy.
