Diesel Prices Drop as Gasoline and Kerosene Costs Rise in the Philippines

by admin477351

In the Philippines, fuel price adjustments on Tuesday provided a mix of relief and challenges for consumers, as diesel prices dropped while gasoline and kerosene costs rose. Major retailers reduced diesel prices by P1.30 per liter, a welcome change for motorists dependent on this fuel type. This follows a significant reduction from the previous week when diesel prices decreased by P7.60 per liter.

Conversely, motorists using gasoline and kerosene faced higher prices, with gasoline increasing by approximately P1.90 to P1.93 per liter. Kerosene saw an even steeper rise, going up by P3.30 per liter. These hikes come after a brief decline last week, when gasoline prices dropped by 30 centavos and kerosene decreased by P5.90 per liter.

The mixed changes in fuel prices highlight the volatile nature of the market, impacting consumers differently based on their fuel usage. While diesel users experience financial relief, those relying on gasoline and kerosene will need to adjust to the increased costs. The fluctuating prices underscore the ongoing challenges in the fuel industry and its direct effects on daily transportation and energy expenses for Filipinos.
